What to expect
The Aquarium of the Pacific is Southern California’s largest Aquarium. It displays about 12,000 animals and more than 100 exhibits that celebrate the planet’s largest and most diverse body of water, the Pacific Ocean. Its galleries represent the frigid waters of the Northern Pacific, the temperate Southern California/Baja region, and the warm coral reefs and lagoons of the Tropical Pacific.
Things to look out for
Don't miss the sea otters, penguins, or feeding the lorikeets - nectar available for purchase.
Helpful Tips
Best time to arrive is at open if you want to beat the crowds. Several food options in the Aquarium, but there are also several nice restraunts on the waterfront in walking distance. There is also a free city Passport Bus from the end of the Metro Blue Line to the Aquarium.
